The runoff on Dec. 8
The Election Commission is already taking absentee requests for a “Town of Collierville Runoff Election” on Dec. 8. Its runoff absentee application (PDF) was posted Wednesday.
Positions 1 and 2 are the only town races where no candidate won more than half the vote. The commission has not yet posted the runoff ballot. We will add the candidates when it does.
Both races include an appointed incumbent:
- Position 1. Charles Hall finished second, 279 votes behind Tim Goddard.
- Position 2. Jewel Jordan finished second, 912 votes behind Steve Christensen. Chad Kelsey was 486 votes behind Jordan.
The board appointed Hall and Jordan in January 2025 to serve until this election. Our ballot preview explains how the two seats opened up.
The last town runoff, for Position 3 in 2024, was held five weeks after the November vote. Its notice of election (PDF) listed the two leading candidates from November.
Marshall wins a third term
Marshall has held Position 4 since 2020. She beat Liz Deely by 4,406 votes.
