For Labor Day 2026 (Sept. 7), Collierville ran trash and recycling one day late all week, the Burch Library closed, Collierville Schools was out, and the town’s spray parks had their final day of the season. The square’s Fall Sidewalk Sale came the weekend before.

For Labor Day 2026 the town’s holiday schedule said:

  • Garbage, recyclables and commercial collection happened the day after your regular collection day, all week.
  • No appliance pickup on Thursday, Sept. 10; the next was Thursday, Sept. 17.

The town’s two spray parks, at W.C. Johnson Park, 419 W.C. Johnson Park Drive, and Suggs Park, 163 E. South St., closed for the year after Labor Day 2026. Hours that season were 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Johnson Park needs a free resident pass or a $10 nonresident day pass bought in advance; Suggs Park needs no pass. The town’s events page says the Fall Sidewalk Sale runs Friday to Sunday with merchants’ discounts on the square and specials at participating businesses around town. For the Tennessee Shakespeare Company night, no tickets are needed; bring a chair, blanket and picnic.
