Dog-friendly Collierville: the town dog park at Suggs Park, 18.58 miles of greenbelt for leashed walks, the town leash law, licensing and where to adopt.
Last checked Oct. 17, 2026. Rules and fees come from Collierville Animal Services; park details from the town’s parks directory and greenbelt trails page. Restaurant patio policies are each restaurant’s own; ask before you bring a dog.
Collierville has one off-leash spot: the town dog park at Suggs Park, 163 E. South St., a few blocks from the Town Square. Everywhere else, the town’s leash law applies: Collierville Animal Services says any time your pet is off your property and in public, it must be on a leash. That still leaves 18.58 miles of greenbelt and a dozen parks for leashed walks.

The leash law
From Collierville Animal Services’ shelter FAQ:
- Leash in public. The town’s leash law says that any time your pet is off your property and in public, it must be on a leash.
- No running free in public, except at the town’s dog park.
- License your pets. Town ordinances require every dog and cat over 5 months old to be licensed with the Town of Collierville.
- Found a dog? Call Animal Services at 901-457-2670 so an officer can collect it and scan it for a microchip. Collierville Animal Control and police are the only ones who pick up strays.
The full animal ordinance is in the town code, linked from the town’s ordinances page.
The dog park: Suggs Park
