Closings come from the Burch Library, Collierville Schools and the town’s holiday sanitation schedule.

Easter 2027 is Sunday, March 28. Collierville’s Easter event on the square is Main Street’s Hop & Shop: the Easter Bunny, music and hidden eggs in the shops. The 2026 Hop & Shop was Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; the 2027 date is not out yet, and we will add it when Main Street sets it. Good Friday, March 26, is a school holiday, and the library closes Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Hop & Shop on the Town Square

From Main Street Collierville’s Hop & Shop page, the 2026 event on Saturday, March 28, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.:

  • Photos with the Easter Bunny on the square, taken by Red Bardes.
  • Music from DJ Derick.
  • An egg hunt for grown-ups: parents shopping the square look for eggs hidden in the stores, each with a prize inside. The town’s events page calls them eggs filled with store coupons.
  • No charge. Main Street collected money and supplies for the Collierville Animal Shelter: Purina ONE dog and cat food, Dawn dish soap, Arm & Hammer laundry detergent, and dog and cat toys.

The town’s events page listed it as a free, family-friendly event.

Egg hunts for children

We list church and community egg hunts only when the organizer publishes a date and age groups. None had posted a 2027 hunt in Collierville on Oct. 17, 2026. Churches and groups can send theirs through our contact page, and we will add them with times and ages.

Easter services

Collierville’s churches post Holy Week and Easter service times on their own websites, usually in March. We will add a list of Collierville services once the 2027 times are posted.

Easter brunch

No restaurant had posted an Easter 2027 menu by Oct. 17. These restaurants serve brunch on a regular Sunday, from their own sites; holiday hours may differ, so book ahead.

Closings and trash

  • Good Friday, March 26: Collierville Schools students out; the Burch Library is closed.
  • Easter Sunday, March 28: the Burch Library is closed. The Morton Museum is always closed Sundays.
  • Trash: Good Friday did not affect trash, recycling or yard waste collection in 2026, the town’s holiday schedule says. The 2027 schedule was not posted on Oct. 17.
