Collierville Schools’ spring break 2027 is Monday, March 15, to Friday, March 19. The week before ends with a half day on Friday, March 12, the end of the third quarter, and students are off again for Good Friday, March 26. Private schools set their own calendars; check yours. The spray parks are still closed in March, so this page sticks to what is open.

Free things to do

  • Burch Library story times. The library at 501 Poplar View Parkway runs weekly programs for small children on its calendar: Tiny Tots for babies to 23 months on Monday mornings, Toddler Storytime for 24 to 35 months and Learn n’ Play for ages 2 to 5 on Tuesdays, and Reading Readiness Storytime and Full STEAM Ahead for preschoolers on Wednesdays. Check the calendar for spring break weeks; the 2027 schedule was not posted on Oct. 17.
  • Morton Museum of Collierville History, 196 N. Main St.: always free, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Its Living History Labs and story times are listed on the town calendar.
  • Town Square trains. The square has historic trains, a depot and a stagecoach cabin, the town’s Town Square page says. See our Town Square guide.
  • Parks and the greenbelt. Twelve town parks and 18.58 miles of greenbelt trail; playground and trail details are in our kids’ activities and walking and biking trails guides.

A day at the lake

The town’s things to do page points families to Herb Parsons Lake, a 177-acre lake with picnic areas, restrooms and a concession area, about 16 minutes from the Town Square. The town’s directions: take Highway 205 (Collierville-Arlington Road) to Monterey Lake Road, turn right, then turn left on Fisherville Lake Road to the entrance. The lake is run by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency; check its Herb Parsons Lake page before you go. Note that Collierville-Arlington Road is closed over the Wolf River for bridge work until fall 2027, so follow the posted detour.

A night out

The town’s Harrell Live series has Skye Darling and The Atlantic Crossing, a violinist and singer-songwriter with folk and Celtic roots, at the Harrell Theatre on Thursday, March 11, 2027, at 7 p.m., the night before spring break starts. Tickets through Freshtix.

The town’s online registration site listed no spring break camp on Oct. 17; its programs were youth sports, tennis, pickleball and specialty classes. Call Parks and Recreation at 901-457-2769 to ask what 2027 brings. We will add spring break camps here as organizers in Collierville post them.
