Memorial Day 2027 is Monday, May 31. For Memorial Day 2026 (May 25), Collierville ran trash and recycling one day late all week, and the Burch Library closed. The holiday comes after the start of summer in town: the spray parks opened May 18, 2026, and the last day of school for Collierville Schools is Friday, May 21, 2027.

  • Garbage, recyclables and commercial collection happened the day after your regular collection day, all week.
  • No appliance pickup that Thursday, May 28; the next appliance pickup was a week later, June 4.

We found no Memorial Day ceremony announced in Collierville for 2026 or 2027. The town’s own veterans event is its Veterans Day Celebration, held in 2026 on Nov. 8 at the Harrell Theatre, 440 W. The town runs two: W.C. Johnson Park, 419 W.C. Johnson Park Drive, and Suggs Park, 163 E. South St. In 2026 they opened Monday, May 18, and closed after Labor Day. Johnson Park needs a free resident pass from the Collierville Fitness Center, 440 W. Powell Road, or a $10 per-person day pass for nonresidents bought in advance; Suggs Park needs no pass.
